
Carl Franklin Maddox Jr., 68 of Trafalgar passed away on September 26, 2015. Carl was born to the late Carl F. Maddox Sr. and Joyce (Conaway) Maddox on January 27, 1947 in Savannah, Georgia. Carl married his wife, Lisa (Thaxton) Maddox 29 years ago and together they built a beautiful family. He loved shooting pool, watching his kids play sports, going to the beach and his favorite team was the Indianapolis Colts. Carl worked at Arvin North American Auto for several years before joining Overton and Sons where he later retired as a buyer. Carl belonged to Fair Haven Christian Church.
Carl is survived by his wife, Lisa; sons, Zach and Chad; twin daughters, Hannah and Heather; sister, Sheila (Ralph) Wright of Georgia; brother, Michael (Annette) Maddox of Georgia; nephews, John “Mickey”Danialson, Josh, Jereme, Jason Thaxton; brother-in-law, Les (Lisa) Thaxton; Mother-in-law, Delores “Squeege” Thaxton; uncle Jimmy (Sara) Conaway of Georgia, aunt Neel Bobzean of Ohio; aunt Brenda (Archie) Lloyd of Colorado and several cousins from Georgia.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (US 31 North) on Saturday, October 3 at 1pm with calling starting at 10am. Pastor Jeff Johnson will be conducting the service.
